Default Job losses

I see the number of un employed is still rising. I can't see it reaching the expected 3m figure but its getting high!

If you include people who are 'unemployed', but actually on incapacity or training or some other way of not making the official stats, then the figure would be much higher!

Well the recession certainly isn't over, but unemployment is a lagged indicator so it reflects how the economy was not how it is.

That said the unemployment number could get much higher than 3 million, as it is likely to keep climbing for many months AFTER the recovery starts (hopefully this year).

I reckon we are over 3m already, but the figures have been `manipulated`. What the Govn does is start putting people on courses, or training, even if its one day a year or so. They can then remove these people from the count, as technically they are not unemployed.

Also, if your on medical benefits, your not classed as unemployed. So, its a case of shifting figures.

I would like to see the figure for the group of society that do not have jobs ? How many people are on the sick ? How many imgrants that are claiming ? List of people who have claimed unemployment benefits for over 3 years ? How many people are claiming, despite being offered jobs ?

Really show some proper figures. For people that have been out of work for say 3 years or more, advertise them, seeing if anyone has a job for them.

Also, like to see how the north, compares to the south. Being from the south, bet there's more claimers up in `northland`. :-)
