Buying TV advice
Alright folks. I have a bit of a problem. I bought a 26" LG LCD in November and I'm having trouble with it. When i am on the 360, quite regularly the screen starts fading and goes dark, usually around cut scenes strangely enough. Originally I thought I had a cable fault or something but I moved the 360 into my living room onto my Sammy and its been fine for the last 2 hours so I can only assume its the TV.
I bought it from a TV shop called Richer Sounds (there's a few around the country) and it has a 12 month warranty so I'm gonna go pay them a visit tomorrow. I'm hoping I can get a refund and buy elsewhere but they will probably offer to try repair. I'm gonna kick up a stink though as they f*cked me about when I bought it last year.
Basically want I want to know is where is the best place to buy TVs at the moment. I want to try find a cheap as possible 37" to replace the living room one and put my Sammy in the conservatory.
All advice welcome guys!!

Does the brightness come back when it changes scene?
If so, does it have any kind of auto contrast or auto colour?
My Sony does and it goes dark in PS menus and when there are dark scenes in films or games when it's turned on. Turn it off and it's absolutely fine.

The only thing I could find is 'adaptive luma control'. I'll have to move the 360 back into the conservatory to test it.
Do you think that had anything to do with it?

Its not a cable issue or anything Xbox related as I moved the console onto my Samsung in the living room and it works perfect. Everything leads to a TV issue. Like Hankscorpio said I need to check the settings 1st and retest. If its still doing it I'm going back to Richer Sounds.

Luma control sounds about right, there will be a light sensor supposed to make allowances for the room lighting but I've found the picture coming from the TV is enough to change it.
Drove me mental because I thought my sources were fubarred, took me a while to make the connection.

Cheers Hank. I'll test it tomorrow. Its not an expensive TV so there aren't loads of different settings to mess with but that luma control was 'on' so that could be the culprit!!
