A lot of what has been discussed and predicted on that forum has happened - even some of the most pessimistic predictions.
I really hope they're wrong about this being the end game, but unless things start to improve economically soon then we [the developed World] really might be in it deep.
The dire economic news just seems to keep coming, and keep getting worse. What happens when we have massive firms like General Motors and AIG going bust? The IMF is already running out of money to bail-out countries - what happens then?
Government here is starting quantitive easing, so when the pound collapses, and imports of stuff like oil suddenly become obserdly expensive what will happen?...
I hope we get off lightly and just have a 10-15 year recession like Japan. Seems to be best-case scenario now.

I meant you've joined 'them'.
The nutters over there will never be happy people, no matter what the economy or government do. They have something missing in their lives.
Sad, sad people.
Lizard men, my ****.
I used to read that site quite often and actually became quite worried over things that, quite frankly, I have absolutely zero control over.
Therefore, I take it with a pinch of salt.
What happens will happen. I can't change it.

When I get flamed for suggesting that it’s a bit rich for Lewis Hamilton to take his billions and put them in a tax haven (in one of the most socially repressive countries in Europe)
After benefiting from tax funded education and healthcare in the UK
I think we are along way from a revolution, unless it’s the middle classes complaining about the soaring cost of parmesan and school fees

I would say that looking for a site called "housepricecrash.co.uk" isn't going to make you the most optimistic person in the world so the threads all appear to have a doom and gloom overtone.
Having said that, I think we are in for a hard time.
