Cool Kids maths homework help please :)

Just a quick question ...my 10 year old's homework tonight, here it is:

"I am a two-digit number between 10 and 40. I am the sum of all my divisors"

So what's the number ??

the only number that is equal to the sum of it's divisors is 1. every other number will be at least 1 greater i.e. 29 is divisible by 1 and 29 equaling 30 if you add them. so don't really get the question.

Ok I've started at 10 and worked my way up......I think I might have the answer

28 is divisible by 1, 2, 4, 7 and 14 so

1 + 2 + 4 + 7 + 14 = 28

so 28 is the answer AFAIK

No wonder it had my 10 year old baffled LOL

10 is divisible by 1, 2 and 5 which added together = 8

I'm sticking to 28 and if the teacher wants come round and dispute it she can LOL

It's 28. It should say you exclude the number itself as a divisor.
