Cow knocks over woman on bike, steps on her legs
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- A woman escaped serious injury and refused medical treatment after a cow knocked her down and walked on her legs. Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks ranger Pete Taylor said the woman was riding her bicycle along the South Boulder Creek Trail on Monday when she encountered the cow and stopped to let the animal cross.
Instead, the cow knocked the woman over and stepped on her legs.
Taylor said the woman wasn't seriously hurt. Her name was not released.
The cow had left the area by the time rangers arrived, but other people warned fellow bikers and hikers on the trail about the animal.
Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance vice president Jason Vogel called the incident "odd, rare and random."

It seems funny but my mate's mum ended up being hospitalised when a cow attacked her dog and she tried to stop it. If it was a bull, no one would laugh but because it hasn't got a *****, it seems odd. 2 tons of rampaging beef can do you some serious damage.

I got cornered by some in a field whilst on my MTB, couldnt go anywhere stuck behind some barbed wire, they wouldnt mooooove, got frustrated and belted the nearest one with my cycle helmet, ****** moved then !

Walking her dog on a public right of way across a field. The cow had calves and was being protective. My point wasn't really about how she got attacked, more along the lines that cows can be fairly aggresive, they're bloody big and can do some damage. Like I said, if the headline was "Woman attacked by bull" it wouldn't raise a smile but change the sex of the attacking beast and it seems to sound funnier. Where's the stampede thread when you need it?
