Good on him though he managed to detain the suspect despite having a tree stuckm in his eye
Surgeons said Pc Nash was lucky to be alive. He was discharged after three days and has retained some sight in the eye, which he hopes will eventually return to normal.

The story. The stick didn't penetrate the eyeball but passed below it. Hopefully he will regain full sight.
