Are there any websites for getting codes for stereos
Had to change the battery in my Renault (2003) and the stereo is now asking for a code.
Is there a website that lists them, using the reg number to get the right one, or anything similar?
Cheers.

every stereo I've ever had has the code written on it on a sticker mate. Have you tried looking?

It's all built into the dash, I really don't fancy trying to remove it.

You might need to remove it to atleast find the serial number and possibly who makes it.

I have learnt the hard way, just because they come apart. doesn't mean they will go back together.

If you put the head unit in the freezer overnight it will clear the code.

Tempting as that sounds, if I remove it it might be easier to just look the code up then.
