Post Korean Car Maker Fails ...

Ssangyong Motor Co., South Korea's fifth largest automaker, filed for bankruptcy Friday, citing the company's worsening finances.

These made those big 4x4's a while back, didn't they?

Maker of the world's most ugliest, heaviest, slowest MPV: The Rodius

(and thats a pic taken from its least ugly angle).

Surprised they went bump? Really?

The only good car they made was the early Musso which had the Merc 3.2 straight 6 petrol - went like the clappers for a 4x4. Leaving v8 powered X5s and Range Rovers for dust. Still as ugly as sin though

Isn't this the 3rd time they've gone bust? First time they got bought by Daewoo, which then went bust and then got bought again when GM bought Daewoo.

I can't imagine what this will do to the resale values of these things ..... 4x4's are not selling anyway (even the prestigous models).

That "thing" has either got the largest body shell known to man, or 10" wheels.

Hideous.

Pete, Ssanyongs never had any residual value anyway; even 6 years ago my mate picked up a '99 Musso GX220 3.2 petrol for £500

I wouldn't give a tenner for a Rodius; I've seen a few in the flesh (oddly popular in Spain ), there is just not a single nice thing I can say about it:

It doesn't get any better from the rear either:

Now excuse me, I feel like I'm going to barf

I couldn't believe it when one of my neighbours bought one of these new last year. I can't resist the urge to snigger every time I pass his house.
