Holidays in Italy - where to go next?
Hi all
Have been to various places in Italy for the last few years and looking for any recommendations of places I have not yet been.
So far we have been to Sorento (twice) with visits to Capri, Positano, Ravello etc. Taormina (Sicily), Lake Garda, Rome, Venice, Pisa and Florence.
Looking for a 2 week break at either Lake Como or Puglia this year. Anyone been?
I realise they are both different but we're looking for scenery, great nightlife (not Ibiza-style!) sitting in cafes people-watching etc..
Or can anyone recommend anywhere else?

Only been to Tuscany for a two week break but loved it. First place we stayed at was in amongst the vine yards and had a hot tub overlooking the valley, lovely to sit out under the stars whilst sipping some excellent Chianti
Planning to do Venice, Rome, North Italy (Lake Garda etc.), Sicily and many other bits in years to come.

Lake Como is beautiful and the surroundings are too but if you've already done Lake Garda then, in essence, you've done Lake Como too.

We've been to Bellagio on Lake Como several times, can get to Bergamo very cheaply from Luton or Stansted. It is quite isolated, not really any night-life, but a fantastic good-looking place set at the point where the two legs of the lake join. No point in driving from there, just about all trips can be done on the lake, like to Como itself or across to little places like Varenna. The lake is a lot smaller and quieter than Garda.
Just down from Bellagio is Villa Balbianello: Star Wars location on Lake Como so you can see what sort of scenery is involved.

Try Viareggio, its on the Tuscanny coast, Within driving distance of Pisa, Seinna, San Gangermino Porta farina and Lucca. Went there a few years ago and was the best centre for the 5 holidays I have had so far in Italy. It has its our beach and it seemed mainly full of Italians ( which seems a good recommendation)
