Funny how Northern Rock puts UP it's Mortgage Rates!!
With the Government, who own it, shouting for lower Mortgage costs!
Nationwide now pulls it's standard varaible rate Mortgage as it was proving too popular
It's about time the Banks/Building Societies were stamped on in a big way!

Banks should be stamped on in a big way - to stop them lending more than 3 x salary for mortgages and not dishing out loans like there's no tomorrow.
Labour dont seem to see things that way tho - they want the banks to go back to lending 8 x salary, lier loans etc etc just to keep the unsustainable bubble alive for a bit longer
