I had a nasty diarrhea bug only a few days ago. It stuck with me for five days. I lost a total of 10lbs in weight and had stomach/bowel cramps that were intensely painful.

So glad that's gone!

Missus has it bad at the moment, sore throat, sniffles, etc., finally off work this afternoon

Had a bit of a cold of the weekend before last, wasn't really that bad though, more or less shook it within a few days but still a little bit bunged up. But then I'm well 'ard and really have to be dying before anything will stop me. Bit of will power can soon shake off a cold, just don't let it get to you or it will win

My immune system seems to be on top form for the last year.

My pa and step-mum have both got that evil flu that's going around and cant shake it, got it more than 3 weeks ago on the QE2 (which is absolute shoit apparently btw)
They keep feeling better and then it comes back with a vengeance, plus it's doing something to my dads heart and it's stirring up some nasty arrhythmia

My wife had a really bad cold and has now given it to me, she had to get antibiotics to clear it up.
I now have a runny nose, sore throat and unbelievably painful cough.
Trying to avoid going to the docs, will have to see how it goes.

I had a flu jab in October, but obviously this is a different type of bug.

Yes everyone here has had it except me. Including our 3 month old who was very ill indeed with it.

I had the flu jab last Friday, since the weekend I have started getting a cold, this morning though my glands are right up, can hardly speak and feel quite sick, hoping it's just a cold, I have a really bad immune system due to ilnesses earlier on in life so it will take me ages to shift this nevermind anything else!

It only takes 5 minutes to get a 'flu jab, it does not hurt at all, and even if you get a reaction it is still better than the real thing.
