Cool

Everytime I turn on my Pc this morning I'm getting the following message:

SiS
This device cannot find any free Input/Output Range(i/o) resources to use (Code 12).

I can bypass it but the display is dreadful.

Can anubody help me.

PS in typical Microsoft style, it worked OK yesterday. The only thing I can think of that I've done is discinnected the TV lead into the back of the PC. That shouldn't effect anything?

Please help????

SiS are generally display drivers.

Have a look in My Computer/Properties/Device Manager & see if there is a problem. Try re-installing the drivers.

Dunno about the TV lead (dunno your card) but try wacking the lead back in & see what happens.

Others more qualified than me will post, but as a first off...

KICK IT

Mine went REALLY slow and IE kept crashing, but for some reason, one day it thought, hey I am fine again

I think that is when I gave up beating it up

Go into device manager and check if all devices are working correctly. If there are any with exclamation mamks beside them delete the device. Reboot. If this doesn't cure it post details of your OS, and exactly where the error happens and I will apply my extensive muppet knowledge...

SiS do the on-board PCI chipset too, DOH!

I'd kick it, then spray it with WD-40. It usually works for me.

For more persistent problems, dropping it from multi-storey carparks works just fine.

Alternatively, ask Mr Interrupt if he's currently sharing a channel with anyone nasty like Mr ISA card.

Good Luck,
-DV
