Laser Cosmos Vs Laserpod Supernova
Hi guys, looking for some opinions please;
I want one for my boy, main aim is to relax him before sleeptime... Then I'll nick it for downstairs
Love the idea of the stars serenely passing by... I don't want an epilectic inducing laser show.
Laser Cosmos
Laser Cosmos - I Want One Of Those
- The Laser Cosmos is a projector with glass discs
- Doesn't just point up, can be angled
- Styling is a bit ****
- It's old-ish
- Customer reviews are all "WOW"
- Best price appx £98
Laserpod Supernova
Laserpod Supernova - I Want One Of Those
- The Laserpod is light through a crystal creating the space effects
- Comes with different accessories to create different light effects (I'm only really interested in stars)
- It looks cool
- It's new
- Can't find any customer reviews
- It only points up... so if in the corner of the room I am not sure how it will look
- Best price appx £128
I "think" I want what the Laser Cosmos does... in the casing of the Laserpod Supernova
Would love to hear your views and comments please, on this extremely important subject matter.

Excellent find, we want the first one.
My lad is now four and he is into looking at the stars, and has books and sticker mags with planets and stars in them.
This will be in his Xmas pillow case.
We saw one similar to the Cosmos in a gadget shop at the Trafford Centre but the shop wasnt dark enough so it looked a bit naff, now Ive seen the short video that is just what I want.

Yeah I think I saw the first one in a gadget shop in London. Was the dogs b0llocks
It just looks... well... a bit naff, the newer one looks better.
I also wonder about noise as the mechanism moves round???
Anyone else?

C'mon peeps...
I realise Obama is getting in tonight, Clarkson has woes, LG's cat died and 84's on her way to a fortune...
BUT....
I'd really like some valid contribution to my dilemma please...

I have a laserpod
its only a single colour, ie red,
its fairly simple in its construction/ operation, a crystal on an angled spindle that the laser shines onto, it also has some effects lenses too,
noise wise, quite as a mouse, (famous last words lol)
i,ll dig it out in a mo, and fire it up and take some piccys
Well made bit of kit, its been in the box on top of our wardrobe for two years

i also cant decide between the two.... i want one for the same reasons as you... for my son at bedtime.... he has space bedroom and i think one of these would go really well in there...... but which one...?
i have found the cosmos a little cheaper
Play.com (UK) - Free Delivery - Gadgets
Maybe it would be a good idea to go into a gadget shop and see it for real.
But on the other hand if anyone has one please let us know which one would be best suited for a childs bedroom.... thanks x
