That picture does not bode well.

I'm a big Star Trek fan and I really don't look forward to this at all. If there is one thing I simply can't stand it's when the same character(s) are played by different actors. For that reason this film is highly unlikely to interest me in the same way the Sarah Connor Chronicles don't. The whole point of fantasy IMHO is escapism; to imagine that what you are seeing might happen in the future....or a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...LOL. Changing the actors completely shatters all those illusions and reinforces that you are watching a TV program or film.

Without the escapism element Star Trek is a bunch of dude running around in pyjamas shooting fake looking aliens with ray guns

Simon Pegg plays Scotty. In "Spaced" he said its a fact that all the odd numbered Trek films are ****.

This one will be 11. its pretty much been true up to now.

How come, I not see him afore?

They all look very odd being so young and sans grey hair

It might not be poo but it looks a bit like they've kiddie-fied it ala Thunderbirds which would make sense financially but ruin it as a film - as is the trend these days.
