Default Clipper suggestion?

I'm after a good set of clippers to get my hair as short as possible without actually being bald !

I keep buy the £9.99 ones from ASDA but they go blunt quickly.

I bought a Nicky Clarke one for £20 and its good, but it doesn't cut close enough !

Any ideas ? nothing too expensive though please.

Cheer

remington all the way get a good pair and they will last you nearly forever I have had mine for about 10 years now and the blades are still cutting with ease. Just apply the oil before use and they keep going.

I have had many sets. Cordless, ceramic, designer branded etc. but have returned to a set of Wahl corded. Very good quality. I believe that if one of our dogs hadn't chewed my first set I'd still have them.

Brilliant cheap clippers, just use without the length attachments for 'all but bald' stubble

I have a set of wahl, had many sets of other cheaper ones in the past , but wouldnt buy anything other than wahl now! Im sure you can buy them from argos, but i bought mine from a hairdressing outlet.

Also make sure you oil them after every couple of uses, this will help to prolong the life of them and stop them going blunt! Ive had mine now fro 3 years and they only now need sharpening!

so do my £80 pound scissors!!!

I've had to return a couple of Wahl clippers recently as the small blade wouldn't move at the shortest setting. Still undecided what to do next. My original Wahl clippers were great until my wife used them on her mother's dog

Used wahl's for years.. but last christmas got bought a set of Nicky Clarke Ceramic bladed ones.. use wet/dry.. no trailing leads so can **** the wife off by wandering around the house leaving bristles all over the gaff..
(still have the wahls as spare/back up , though)

Ive had a set of Wahl clippers for years, never had a problem with them at all, oiled as per the intructions. they go from grade 5 -1 and then 0
if you use the clippers without a grade attachment, (well its about a .5)

Now that what hair i had has almost gone, i just bic it
