Default Oi...Out of my way - Pavement Express Lane

Have heard it all now

BBC NEWS | Scotland | Edinburgh, East and Fife | 'Pavement rage' plan for shoppers

Quite a good idea though i think, i hate getting caught up by doddlers.

It would never work, those who dawdle never seem to be aware of what is happening around them anyway!

They need this in London at busy tube and rail stations during rush hour. Bloody tourists never know where they are going or where to stand, some even have massive great backpacks and stop us, who pay a premium for standing in hot sweaty carriages in trains that never arrive on time, for getting where we're going.

It's people that come out of a shop, or get off a bus, and then stop dead obstructing the entrance that really annoy me

A woman stopped in front of me this morning at the top of the escalators in Waterloo tube station, she got barged out of the way by the flow of people pouring off the escalator.

London police have learnt their lesson at Stockwell Tube station, they now shoot people who block pavements, escalators, tube barriers or who generally gawp into space in rush hour

Those rucksacks are a pet hate of mine too. They take up so much extra room, especially in supermarkets etc. The only good bit is that if you do have someone blocking the way with one you can spin him round as you try to get past

But they're also ready made handles for shifting them out of the way. It's strange how everybody, whether Scandinavian, French, German, Spanish, etc. pulls exactly the same face when you shift them...
