Thumbs down Harry and Paul on tv tonight

Thought I'd give this show a go tonight given the previous comedy the pair have done. This show was unfunny, unoriginal and cringeworthy. It was embarrassing to watch actually. Won't be watching it again. Anyone watch it and thought it was good?

Tonight was one of the better ones.

I thought it was ok with a few good bits.

I've watched it a few times, and as you say, it's just not in the same league as the rest of their stuff.

There only seemed to be two or three different jokes in the whole programme, repeated endlessly. Mind you, Big Suze was looking good.

Er...i thought it was quite good.Think most comedy has been done before,so finding an original concept must be quite difficult.
Compared to most brit comedy nowadays, its worth a look.Thought monkey dust from a few years ago,was the most original comedy for a long time, but thats gone now.
Theres not much choice out there.Whats the alternative, that pile of chod-Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps?

Still better than the cack Little Britain that's on now. Re-hashed stuff that was rubbish in its 1st incarnation.

I caught the last 15 mins of Harry & Paul whilst waiting for little Britian USA..

Harry and Paul - not funny apart from Whitehouse doing that bloke in Dragons Den..the baldy bloke who sees them after they have faced the dragons... I do admit to a snigger at that

Little Britiain USA - I read a article in the paper that said most US critics panned it.. was a bit poor tbh.. some amusing bits, but not many.

This show compared to what they've managed to do before is really bad. I've never really been a Little Britain fan. Originality in a comedy show isn't required as long as what you're producing is funny. This isn't.

Even Benidorm trounces Harry and Paul for laughs!

Comedy died when Bo Selecta ended - not including their USA attempt, that was rubbish.

Agreed! Although the last series just wasn't as good as the others and he has struggled with his other programmes since (Keith Lemon).

<mel b> Ooooh You *******s </mel b>

Don't think anyone can get near Sacha Baron Cohen for originality. First with Ali G, yeah its a bit daft now looking back at it but back then it was genius. Then to come back with Borat, which was even funnier. and now coming out with a new film with the Bruno character. The guy is a comedy genius

funniest sketchs on Harry and Paul for me were:-

40-45 years (had me in tears)

the father and son builders with bit of 4 x 2bies!!!! also a lol moment.

and the "saw you coming" shop which also makes me laugh.

the blokes fishing also rank up there.

the rest, IMHO is complete toss

I did like the boutique grocers.

"Are those apples organic?"

"At that price they should be. But they're not"

Alas, it is pants - utter pants... The surgeons sketches are pitiful. I actually feel sorry for them. Imagine all that time writing, rehearsing, having the rubber face and make up put on only to be as funny as a rectal bleed...

It's all about knowing when to stop, knowing when to do "The Cantona" or "The Fawlty Towers" and alas, Harry and Paul don't.

Watched Harry and Paul followed by Little Britian and managed to smirk once in a whole hour. What a waste of time.

That On the Buses sketch was totally pointless. Dragon's Den bloke with the cross eyes was what made me smirk...but overall agree with this comment:

"40-45 years (had me in tears)

the father and son builders with bit of 4 x 2bies!!!! also a lol moment.

and the "saw you coming" shop which also makes me laugh."

as the best of their lot.

Little Britain is just a complete dead loss....and the audience laughter makes it even worse.
