Default Sigh ... Identity stolen: Any advice?

Hello

I just received a letter from Game asking me to call them to confirm an internet order. Having phoned them, someone in Huddersfield apparently has an order pending.

Having phoned my credit card, there are transactions from Air France, Experia and more from Game that are in the pre-authorisation stage (i.e. they don't appear on my account yet).

I just called the Police who gave me a reference number and obviously my card is now cancelled.

Is there anything else I should be looking out for? It concerns me they know my address details (as they entered the billing address correctly).

Steve

Well done Game by the way for sending out the letter to confirm.

SCUM !!! ( the scammers that is)

Caused me all kinds of hassles when I got 'cloned' .

My Bank statement went missing on the post, someone forged a credit card and driving license, went into a branch of Abbey, withdrew £500 Cash and transferred £700 to another account ..... Abbey froze my account, so mortgage payments couldn't be made, along with DD's setup through the account ........ Abbey finally sorted it after about 2-3 months

Good luck in getting it sorted mate

Steve,

If you use the same PIN as your CC on any other cards, i would change it on them just in case! Maybe also check your last few months worth of statements to see if you can spot where your info could have leaked from (e.g. other cardholder not present purchases, where you supplied your address).

It would be nice if the police could dress up in "Mr Delivery Man" clothes and make a visit to Huddersfield - but somehow i don't think this will happen

Well, things are still appearing on my card from the last two days: O2 Top Up vouchers and Currys are the latest ones.

Apparently I will have someone call me tomorrow to go through all the transactions and say which are mine:

Tescos: Yes.
