Question on a postman's wage
I need to find out for a friend what the basic wage is for a postman who is on the early shift and also what they would earn if they're on nights.
Can anyone help please?

Basic pay is £347.61 per week, although I don't know if you get that from day one, it might be less for the first six months.
I'm not sure what you mean by early shift. Do you mean just the regular postie who comes in, sorts the mail, then goes out and delivers? If so, then I think you'll find most start at 6:00am now, with some still starting at 5:00am (it all changed last year).
There used to be an early shift allowance for people starting at 5:00am of £12.37/week. That has remained in place for people who used to start at that time but have moved to a 6:00am start. I believe it eventually stops though.

Butkus not doubt, I didn't mean it the way I wrote it I think they do a sterling job mostly and the good ones should be paid more for those sort of hours.
