Apparently the way to buy himself out of the mire is to borrow, could be as much as 200 billion according to the money programme this morning.

this is partly due to age discrimination laws though. It's the same with Housing Benefit. Over 60s could get a backdated claim for 12 months, under 60s couldn't. That's against age discrimination rules, therefore they need to change it. Or get better at thinking these laws through before they implement them.
