MC018 eBay Listing Removed: Accepted Payments ( 237666661)<BR>

160283693717 - 1999 16" Subaru Impreza Alloys Wheels + Tyres 3/4mm NR!

Dear subaruollyit(oliver.poole@steria.co.uk),

We appreciate that you chose eBay to list your auction-style listing(s). However, we have removed your listing because it breached our Accepted Payments policy. We notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.

Why did we remove your listing?

Your listing(s) contains the following information:

cash

You may offer to accept PayPal, credit cards including MasterCard/Visa /Amex, debit cards and bank electronic payments online for eBay purchases. You may also offer to accept bank-to-bank transfers, often known as bank wire transfers or bank cash transfers. You may only accept cash if it's on delivery or cash for in-person transactions.

You may offer to accept personal cheques, money orders, cashier's cheques, certified cheques and other negotiable instruments. You're not allowed to solicit buyers to send cash through the post.

For more information on copy this link into a new browser window:

Accepted Payments Policy

Your listing(s) may be eligible for relisting through My eBay. If your listing is eligible, you'll see it in the Unsold Items section of My eBay. Listings that are not eligible for relisting will not be visible in the Unsold Items page.

To relist your item, log in to My eBay, go to your Unsold Items and select the item that was cancelled -- it's highlighted with a yellow banner. Before relisting, please make any changes necessary to ensure that the listing is in compliance with the law and eBay policies. You might want to check your other listings for similar breaches as well.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If your listings breach eBay policy in future, your eBay privileges could be suspended. We value you as a member of our community and wish to continue this relationship, so we must ask you to refrain from further breaches of the User Agreement and eBay policy.

They want you to take paypal so they get another payment from you.

Just be careful with your wording.

Be carefull with the wording, but NEVER, EVER actually accept paypal for something that is collected. You have absolutely no proof the item was picked up by the buyer, so if he claims through paypal, you WILL loose the money as they automatically side with the buyer if there is no proof of delivery.

Sorry - I don't see what you did wrong? According to their own T&C's, you may accept cash if:

"You may only accept cash if it's on delivery or cash for in-person transactions."

So what exactly are you doing wrong?

I don't see what you did wrong. You should be able to relist for free, and receive compensation for the hassle. Its a person to person transaction so cash should be allowable.

eBay are a bunch of **** in my experience...hate the place now

That ebay email says "You're not allowed to solicit buyers to send cash through the post."

Surely, if the item is to be collected the buyer is unlikely to post his cash to you before collecting them?

Or am i missing something?

You would have been refunded all charges relating to any eBay cancelled auction.

Replace CASH with Queens Quids, Golden Coins etc!

They should have refunded your listing fee if they removed the item. They used to anyway.

I rarely sell on ebay now as it's a rip-off.

dont use the word cash in your listing it will be covered on the postal choice as cash on collection that will solve the problem and it will be listed as COC.

Just sold a motor on ebay.

Sorted out my usual no sale with the buyer so I don't get ripped off with their joke £20 final value fee.

£30 to sell a cheap motor? If they were less greedy with the fees I'd have no problem letting them have a reasonable FVF.

They cancelled my Pool Table listing because I put in the listing no reasonable offer refused, and I had the listing set to buy it now or best offer

They claim I was trying to circumvent ebay fees, trying to sell outside of ebay

I have paid over 500 quid in fees over the last few months, and that doesnt include paypal fees either, robbing gits

The cash thing has been over a lot of the ebay forums, and a lot of people are trying to get ebay to change the rules for collection, as too many people are paying via paypal, and there is no proof of delivery so false claims are being made
