Default Waiting to hear on a job is poo

Been to two interviews in the last week. The first one offered me the job that day and I turned it down, wasn't something I was interested in doing.. did feel a bit ****ty about it though...

Today I had an interview for a really great job, it has the potential to develop into a career and they are willing to provide the funding for the courses I want to do...

I have to wait for a letter which will probably come next week .. which sucks.. I hate waiting, I'd rather know one way or the other...

So has anyone ever turned down a better paying job as they didn't think it suited them and is anyone waiting on an interview decsion ??

For the record I didnt think it went too well.. they didn't seem impressed.. when I left the other one I knew I had it ...

Oh well

If you wait more than 24hrs then you most likely aren't going to get the offer

Sorry....

Its take 24 hours to send a letter first class... assuming then sent it after my interview it wont be here til Friday now .. 24 hours in this case is a little too short amount of time... I'll get the letter either way yes or no...

I've been waiting for a start date for my new career for what seems ages!

If it gets any closer to Christmas before I have the date confirmed, it'll look like I'll be starting Feb/March.

It's already getting to me knowing I've passed all intertviews/exams etc I just want to get started.

Waiting for a year from initial application will drive me crazy

I got my job like this:

- Applied through a recruitment agents website on Saturday night
- Had a call from them on the Monday requesting me to have an interview with them the next day.
-Interview with recruitment agent went well on the Tuesday, organized an interview with the company for Wednesday.
- Had interview at 9am on the Wednesday, had a phone call from the agency at 12pm to say I had got the job and that she had negotiated a 1K pay increase thanwhat was offered.

Things can happen rather fast. The company I work for is not massive. Annual turnover is around the £10m mark. I suppose the larger the company, the longer you may have to wait for an answer.

im awaiting on 3 apps, had responses from the companies involved and they are just going through the consultancy process. 2 of them I would really like to do and the other one is more money but it isnt my ideal choice but as redundancy looms, beggars cant be choosers

It took my last employer 2 weeks to get back to me! That was due to the high level of applications, did you ask how many others were being interviewed?
