Just had someone at the door
As above someone as just knocked on the door ,he handed me a card with his details on (it didn't look very convincing ) but he told me straight away he had been in prison was finding it hard to find a job and was selling cleaning items door to door .I told him i would be happy to buy a few items if i could verify who had given him his ID card to which he said he could give me his boss's mobile number (he'd already told me he didn't have a job ).So i ring the local constabulary to see if they knew of anything like this happening in the area .They tell me its for newly released prisoners to try and earn a living as they find it hard to find jobs upon release .I've got a fealing i've just been robbed £11 for a ******* feather duster and some dish clothes wtf was i thinking
Just hope the Tv's still here when i get home from work tomorrow

To be fair to the guy.... he seems to be doing a known, legitimate, gig and being honest about it...... or do u mean that he was pretending to be a con just to scope you out?

I think he was being honest enough ,it just puts that little bit of worry in your head that if he does get desperate he's just seen a future place to hit

Was it a big plastic ID with his photo on hanging around his neck?
We get a few of these with some hard luck story or other (which I have no reason to doubt). I usually give in and buy some well over priced yellow dusters. I think the rip off is made by their supplier who overcharges them for the raw materials, dusters and the like. dl

Yeah, we used to do this (the buying, not the selling!) a few years ago. Never had any problems, and if the guy is taking that sort of job there's a good chance he is really trying to better himself.
And anyway...if he was in prision he's a crap criminal who got caught

I had one round at mine earlier this year, same story, selling the same shyte, I sympathised with him but told him I was skint as I was unemployed. Soon fooked off, I went back to watching the Forest match on tv and supping beers with the lads

Im sorry to hear of your plight but surely there must have been somthing better on the telly than Forest
PS scoobyvirgin do you use the Midland Scoobies site

Ooh a low blow, it's better than actually paying to see them. Had free tickets for Saturdays match, i'm so glad I didn't pay as it was ****.
Nope don't use midland Scoobies site, prob won't let me on as I'm an Evo owner

The worst thing about it is, i'm not really a Forest fan, but when it's on Tv it's an excuse to get the lads together for beers. The Evo on the other hand, I say owner as i'm not even driving it at the minute, too busy thinking about buying a clutch and putting it back together.

Andy, that couldn't be further from the truth, it's had a load of scrap metal dumped in it for the past 2 or more months. Its day at the scrap yard is getting closer
