Just been recounting some clips off youtube for some reason
This spawned so many actors and other shows AND - an american show worth watching Before Cheers ,Mash etc

I was allowed to stay up late one night of the week to watch it 
I think it was a Thursday and we watched it on a slightly grainy Tyne Tees ITV channel because Yorkshire TV didn't show it for the first year or so, and then had to catch up. Completely bizarre in place
