Capital one 0% purchases
Hi all,
Just managed to get my Platinum Capital Card with 0% purchases until Nov 09.
I know how they work, as long as you pay the minimum payment evey month but clear the balance before Nov you pay 0%.
My question is what do they class as purchases? Anything I buy is a purchase. Even fuel. What I really want to do is buy a DSLR camera and lens on ebay from one of these Hong Kong sellers but would that be classed as a purchase if I used the Capital One card?

Don't buy foreign cash at a bureau de change either.
I take it you're using Paypal for Ebay purchases? if so then no problem. In fact buying goods abroad is fine too, just withdrawing cash is usually chargeable.
Rip up those cheques they send you too!

You might want to check re PP & Fleabay
I have heard / read Some card issuer's now treat these as cash. therefore
the transaction is deemed to be a cash withdrawl, and gets the higher
interest rate.
