How NOT to rob a bank.......
"..............Two bank robbers were shot by Portuguese police on Thursday after they held hostages for eight hours in a bank branch in central Lisbon.
The hostage drama in a European capital unaccustomed to violent crime ended when police snipers fired at the robbers after two hostages managed to escape from their captors inside the branch.
Police had cordoned off the site on Thursday afternoon and tried for hours to negotiate the release of the hostages before the violent end to the attempted robbery.
One of the robbers was killed and the other was taken to hospital."
WARNING the videos are graphic, and include a full on camera view of the HOSTAGE takers being shot.
This was shown on all 4 National TV channels.

This was the first time they "neutralized" someone in a permanent fashion.

Forgot to mention they are from Brazil, and they are illegal immigrants.

True, and this is a sort of message like: "We are tired of these damn criminals coming over here and doing what they want!"
The police overheard a phonecall from one of the scumbags to his cousin, in which he said he would rather die than get thrown in the slammer.
They were at tipping point, and luckily the hostages remained very calm throughout!

Just like that Menzenes guy that was shot on the tube. Got what he deserverd, had no right to be in the UK so tough ******* when he got shot.

Can you imagine that same thing in the UK?
One would have been shot in the face, his accomplice would be suing the government for trauma while serving his 6 years in an open prison and writing a book about his life, and the sniper would hounded by the press and courts and end up retiring through stress.

It was an analogy following the basic premise, not a carbon copy of the exact events replicated in its entirity in the UK.
