Connecting Sony Ericsson to home amp. ....
Is it possible to purchase a lead which connects these phones to an mp3 type input socket ( round, 3mm ? ) on a home stereo.. ,

Yes Pete - more specifically gfriends mini-system ( and a new amp. for mysel ive been meaning to buy for years ) and my mondeo stereo..
corse i know i should/could replace the mondeo with a bluetooth system

Shouldn't even need that
Most SE phones come with a headphone adapter as standard (look at the supplied earphones - look something like this: http://asia.cnet.com/i/r/2005/hp/39087068/b016.jpg, unplug them from the microphone bit...and there is a 3.5mm jack socket. )
If you have teh earphones, then all thats needed is a 3.5mm male jack to 3.5mm male jack
