SKY Question
Can I.....
Split the additional output feed from the back of a standard sky box (on a bog standard 2 way splitter) so that I can plug in 2 Sky eyes (remote channel changers)?

My friend has a telly in her lounge with a sky box fitted, it has one cable running from the back (the additional powered socket) to a telly in her kitchen.... and she asked me if I could "help" her put another one in her bedroom .......
So I said I'd check it out.... and sort out the Sky issue at the same time What I'm thinking is that I split the feed from the additional socket and power two new eyes (one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom*).....
*where the magic happens

Anyway I have a gizmo gizmo box that sits at the back of the Sky box connected to the box by a coax lead. The gizmo gizmo box then has two further coax leads that run from there to both the magic eye in the kitchen and the magic eye in the bedroom. We changed the coax lead that goes to the kitchen for some uber insulated double protection bullet proof shielded coax because we were getting some interference on the kitchen telly and now it's fine. I can't speak for the stuff in the bedroom because we still haven't got around to putting the telly in there

Although I didn't think Magic Eye worked through splitters / boosters

Also known as daz
Aah, could work depends if the voltage from the box would be enough to work both eyes, if it doesn't work the ir sensor is another option.
