So frustrating!

The days I have wasted sitting around at home waiting for deliveries that either turn up 1 minute before the cut-off or don't turn up at all!

Get it delivered to work, that's what I do.

I suppose it would be no good if you've ordered a shed or something though

Does annoy me when Internet retailers refuse to deliver to alternate addresses, it's those of us that have to work all day that have the money to spend in the first place. Don't make it difficult for us I have heard it mentioned though that you can register your work address with the credit card issuer, then they'll deliver to it. Anyone done this? (on an Egg card?)

That can be a nightmare too....the place I work is huge (oil refinery) and packages can end up going anywhere (post room, stores, security (1 of 3) etc.)

Have had some bits delivered to my other halves work when suppliers have allowed an alternate address.

It's even worse when you are in the whole time and find a card put through the door saying 'tried to deliver at...' and they have not even bothered trying to see if you are in!

I actually saw one delivery driver do this once, opened the door as he was walking back up the path, asked him why he didn't try ringing the door bell he just said "Oh i figured there would be noone in"

Thumbs down

Post office are good at this.

Last weekend I had a parcel delivered off e-bay.......or rather I didn't. I giot up at 8.30 am saturday to find that there was a card there timed at 7.25. Now I KNOW he didn't knock, or ring the bell, as I'm a light sleeper......and I don't mean a sleep with the light on

So off I toddle to the general PO, to find OVER 40 people in the queue in front of me

I don't reckon they even tried that morning.
