Default Calling all Chilli lovers...

When we went to Twickenham the other day, my other half got some chiken chilli from a caterer ( chilli con carne but with chicken). I've tried hunting for a receipe on google, but can only come up with White Chilli which has weird beans and that in it..

doe anyone have a chicken chilli receipe, using fresh chillies, which isn't too hot ( i'm not good with really spicy stuff as I suffer badly with mouth ulcers)

TIA

This is gonna sound far fetched here, Ginge.... but have you thought about following the exact standard receipe but substituting the mince for chicken????????????????

Bleddy hell, what a good idea

There are so many receipes for chilli out there, I didn't know which one to pick, so would prefer something recommended

You'd add extra chillies to make me set alight, wouldn't you?

If I'm making it with Lazy Chillies, I used about 5 teaspoons which is spot on for my taste. I don't like silly hot food but that gives a lovely "zing" in the mouth without disolving your throat.

AKA chicken grande.... The entire chilli thing is more texmex than Mexican.
I found quite a lot searching google for "chicken chilli texmex".

As "chicken chilli" tends to offer loads of Indian or curry dishes.

Well, we had this for dinner last night and....

V. nice. I substiuted the beef and beef stock, for chicken, and half the quantities as there are only 2 of us.. and it still made enough for my in-laws to have for dinner tonight!!

Next time will be a bit more adventourous with the chillies - even i found it mild with 2 red chillies and 1 green one...

Thanks, Chris for showing me the chilli light
