Best way to get a copy of my birth certificate?
Having moved around a lot in the last number of years, I've realised that my birth certificate has gone missing. 
What's the best/most reputable method to get a copy of my birth cert?
I'm not in the UK so need a good way to apply remotely.
There are a lot of internet sites that proclaim to provide bona fide copies but the application seems all too easy
Anyone had to do the same. Please advise
