My God!

If this continues we are ALL fcuked!

How stupid and yet agian the rights of the criminal scum are more imporant than the rights and saftey of the witnesses.

This country needs to wakeup and something needs to be done!

I am truly disgusted by this.

Of course, whilst on trial, they are not "criminal scum".

As the law stands, an assused is legally entitled to cross examine a witness.

Until it is changed, which it clearly needs to be.

I can see both sides to this...... Imagine if you are innocent and standing trial and you are not allowed to cross examine???????????

Something really does need to be done about this.

This is the problem. Anonymous witnesses by definition, cannot be challenged on thier story.

They can answer questions though.

The Law needs a drastic change. Let's not forget we used to drown women with black cat's not long ago (I said cat's).

With a very limited scope, so as not to reveal thier identity.

I agree, something needs to be done to allow for anonymous witnesses, but, it should be a considered and well thought out measure, not some knee jerk reaction.

There is no doubt that it is a very difficult question alright.
