SORN?
Thinking about parking up the car for a while while it's being sold. If I SORN it, can I still take people out for a test drive on the basis that it's 10mins per month (say) or will they enforce me taxing the car (6 or 12 months) even though it's barely being used?

if it has no tax and no proof of repair etc, theyll take it and impound it in most cases....no tax= no insurance. to get tax you need insurance, without one cancels the other out, so it will be deemed no tax no insurance mate. impound is £112 on they day (varies in areas) and then £12-15 every extra day it sists in the impound, to get it out, has to be taxed, insured and ur driving license will be needed, or whoever its insured to's id. put six months on it, u can always claim it back and get money back mate, then at least its all legit and no worries

Im not sure they will impound it in most cases. Invariably no Tax will just mean you have to pay the backdated amount.
Remember, no Car tax is not a police isssue (In the same way no insurance or MoT is) - Its a customs and excise one.

But you can't use a car on a public road with no tax. Not worth the risk.

Oh dear! It'll cost me £220 for 6mnths or £400 for 12 is my problem. Doesn't seem right / fair if car is hardly being used Serves me right I guess for daring to drive a sporty vehicle
Thanks for the advice though.
