Default Go and fill up tonight !

Now I don't know how accurate this is but I have a friend who has contacts at a small Oil company and the word is that fuel will go up by another 4p a litre tomorrow, so diesel will soar from the bargain price of 128.9 round here to 132.9.

Now it might be bollocks but I couldnt live with myself if I didnt mention it and it did happen.

Me, I don't care anymore, I am going to start using my push bike.

do you think if we all converted to LPG in the next week it would go up in price..I mean it's been years now since lpg was avaliable at fuel stations, but you still hardly see them around..why,because the goverment are making too much from fuel...

It's a shame new diesel engines wont run on fuels derived from vegetable/peanut oil which is exactly what Ruldolph Diesel intended to run his engines on after forseeing future oil shortages.

Do not abuse it, the bloke who maintains our vending machines at work got sacked for filling up a couple of Jerry cans after he filled the works van, so keep your pikey urges to yourself

It'd be more of a shock if you said fuel wasn't going up in price!

I expect to see prices up by 2p every other day now.

Question

I get a fuel card a week today, so they can put it up as much as they want
Does the fuel card pay for your weekly shop at the supermarket? The cost of which is increasing in line with the fuel prices

So you think it's Shell to blame do you?

Shell, BP etc make very little money from the Forecourt. They make most of their money elsewhere, and in fact UK Fuel prices are some of the cheapest in Europe, if not thee cheapest.

Want someone to blame? Try the Government Taxing your fuel. That's why prices are so high. All the current price rises have noting to do with the Government or oil companies, it's trader's in the city.

The Government could do something to help though. By cutting the VAT or Duty on fuel to bring prices down. Once oil prices slide, then the VAT/Duty could be put back up.

They just choose not to while pulling in an extra £150m+ a week.

I do not believe that the oil companies can justify a price rise like that for a litre of fuel and nor can the Gov justify the extra VAT etc that they are making and the windfall tax on the oil suppliers withouts giving a sizeable chunk of it back to the the people of this country!

More than a grain of truth in that statement.

I think Nu Labour are out to punish everyone for not supporting them. To 'teach us a lesson'.

They have of course been working hard for all those years to destroy this once fine country and all it stood for. How much easier to do that by ruining the economy once and for all and then shoving us off to the Eu with the promise of jobs for the boys!

Yup, right up to the point where you get sacked/redundant as your company can't afford to keep you on the road.

It will pay for the petrol to get to the supermarket for the weekly shop, and the return trip too

I will be on more money, which is more than the current rate of inflation too, so my weekly shop as a percentage will be less than I am currently paying, so quids in for me really

I do think it is quite pointless now everyone moaning about the cost of fuel, no one will do anything of any significance anyway to make the prices come back down

In all honesty Im not that happy about the spiralling costs of fuel, but as an individual I cant do jack about it, except like all the millions of other people we just have to keep putting fuel in our tanks and drive our cars and pay the current going rate
