Race For Life
Right chaps, I'll lay it on the line. The wifey signed up for a very worthy cause in the battle against Cancer, and put her name down for the Race For Life. She trained from a low level of fitness and stamina, to a level that I am very proud of. She has now been bitten by the running bug, so will be carrying on after the run, which is admirable. The only snag is, she has emailed everyone she knows to ask for sponsorship and come up with.......not a lot. I would love to sponsor her all the money she wants, but the car tax is going to really hit me hard!! As I have a much larger social network to plead to (ie. Scoobynet), I ask that you could donate a few florins to the cause. Ticking Giftaid will swell the coffers even further! The link to her justgiving site is Race for Life - Sharron Radden's Fundraising Page
Sharron and I thank everyone for their attention, and heres to her running 10ks for charity this time next year.

Been there with my dad, and my mother in law.. hence why I always support the cancer charities as much as i can.
Would love to do the race myself but am sadly not able to (medically reasons before anyone asks lol!!). Have loads of admiration for anyone who puts themselves up

Went through it with a my grandad when I was a boy (I wasnt the one that went through it obviously), and my mum over the last two years. She is over it now thankfully, but is awfully frail compared to before the treatment. I am so proud of my wife. I run myself, and I remember how unnatural it feels when you first start running, strange enough to not want to carry on. She is now hooked, and I am sure her health will benefit.

I do as much as I can towards the cancer cause, having been touched by it directly (my Mam, most recently). Please send my best wishes to your wife, I really hope she does well, and raises a nice sum for an incredibly worthy fund. Big up for her, and you for helping her get sponsorship.
