Good ol' boy.

But this part

"His wife died 38 years ago, while his daughters both died in their 80s"

Makes me wonder if I would want to live that long.

It makes me wonder what makes people of this calibre live this long, genes obviously but what does he have that 99.99999% of the world haven't?

Luck, genes, right place right time in certain circumstances.

As you get older, your life expectancy increases

You and I, for example have a much higher chance of hitting 112 than, say, a new born baby.

Spoke to my grandfather just before he died (aged 99) and he says the saddest bit of living to such and age was watching all your friends and alot of your family die before you....

112....no thanks

Why the hell did lewis get an infraction for that ? in the last 2 or 3 threads I have read every one of his posts has been infracted for no reason whatsoever.

Some one really does needs to grow up and get out more, this infraction thing is getting out of control.

He has joked that the secret to his longevity is "cigarettes, whisky and wild women".
:-) I knew I was right.

I can see good and bad points to being so old, good luck to him.

Quite scary to think that a bullet in WWI could have cut short his live by 90 years though, plenty didn't get the chance!

With regards to Lewis, I think people have just had enough, it stopped being funny a long time ago, he's now boring and needs to call it quits. IMO

Why has this been infracted. The character of pslewis may be a PITA but all he has done is remind people of a truism. Who would ever want to out live their children?

Ridiculous infractions like this spoil ScoobyNet just as much as the trolling that the system was implemented to reduce.

Seems to me most people who live to an old age genuinely do ignore government guidelines on salt, drink,****,bonking.

I thought Harry Patch was the oldest one(WW1 survivor)? Obviously not

The will to live is remarkably strong even at a very old age. As long as he is well enough to enjoy what is left in life to him then I am very happy for him He deserves all respect both for his wartime service and his great longevity.

I would not mind making it to such an age as long as I am not a problem to others and as long as the likes of Flash and his creepy cohorts are not in power.

Bonking? since when was that bad for your health You have me worried now lol

I´d rather die at 60 having lived a good life, the life I want, than living to 70 by following "rules" and "guidlines"

See the post above Actually it is best to live to a ripe old age and still enjoy your life and do what you want.
