Default Ipod Shuffle

Hi Guys

Its my 5 yr olds bday on Weds and he has asked for an Ipod Shuffle. I have already got him a new bike which I know he will love but he is adament he wants an Ipod shuffle. The thing is he isn't into his music that much. I think its more that a few of his buddies have got them so he wants one.

So my question is, would you buy your child one in this situation ???

I wouldn't want my kids having an ipod at that age, they'll probably be deaf by the age of 25.

I do not know your little one however my personal experience with my 5 y/o is she has trouble remembering where she left her drink let alone an mp3 player, would not be on my shopping list for a 5 y/o.

I got mine a cheapy £10 mp3 for Christmas a couple of years ago. It gets used everynow and again (ie every 6 months).

So no. I wouldn't, unless you want to use it for yourself later

Thats kinda the wave length I was on. I am thinking of taking up a bit of running, so I thought A shuffle could come in handy. I know he only wants one because some of his mates have them.
I'm pretty sure it will be a 5 minute wonder too.
Just want to get them all they want to see their faces when they open their presents. Having 5 kids all together can mean that gets pretty expensive

Dixons are selling MP3 players for 99p at the minute, why not buy one of them instead?
