This is something I have done in the past to make a bit of cash but you do get banned from casinos if they find out.

Just been looking online at the casinos that have sprung up and downloaded most of the free software. However every single casino shuffles the deck(s) again after every round of blackjack. This defeats the object of card counting and keeps the edge in the casino's favour all the time. So they are not worth playing at all as they do not allow a player to gain a slight edge every now and then.

I can understand it from their point of view, as they just want your money but surely on line casinos should be mirroring their real life counterparts and only shuffling the packs when the marker is reached.

Anyone on here come across any on line casinos that do not shuffle the pack each time or know of any software that can be downloaded where the blackjack rules are 'fair'.

The reason I ask is that I was going to knock together a program that kept a count of the cards and highlighted the card count each time but none of the casino software out there play the rules!!

I doubt I would last long on line if I started winning on blackjack using this method BUT it does seem unfair that the online casinos are 'cheating' and not allowing the players to use their skills.

I dont think "real life" casinos would let you use a program that keeps count of cards.

People do use them at casinos. Secret is not getting caught.

If you can card count in your head and do not get detected you can gain an edge over the casino.

It would have been easy to do on line if the casino software played the same rules, ie do not shuffle after every round as there would have been nothing stopping you running some software that card counted for you.

The fact that casinos know this and when you play online, they change the rules. So only mugs are left to play!!!

Thumbs up

Rain man was on was it last nite?

Love that bit when dustin hoffman gets asked what he's doing 'We're counting cards!' class

I remember seeing a program where the casinos in LV were using automated shoes that deal cards randomly from the decks so that would screw it all up for sure.

Dealing random cards is fine.

So long as you keep a record of the high cards, the low cards and the aces dealt so far, then you are in with a chance as you know what should be left in the decks. Just apply a set of rules taking into account, the dealer's hand, your hand and the current card counts and you can give yourself an edge.

It is when the online casinos shuffle the pack after EVERY round that does the damage as the player cannot gain any advantage what so ever.

It does look like all online casinos shuffle every time so they are there for mug punters!

I love blackjack and always play it when we go on a cruise, I never go to land based casinos as I would end up losing a shed load of cash Can't count when I'm half p1ssed

Many casinos encourage card counting - I was in Vegas last year and they have books on it in the foyer of some of the casinos. The whole thing with card counting, and teh same with any gambling, is that you have to get it TOTALLY right every time just to get close to the casino advantage. Many people try and fail - the casinos like this.

Very hard to do - do NOT drink when you play!!!
