Am I getting Taxed too much
I get paid weekly and got a good wage this week of £XXX. After tax and national insurance i only recieved £XXX! does this seem right?

You have lost 38% of you wage through deductions - my total deductions come to 26% of my wage, so i say you're getting stung
I would say based on my figures, you should have seen £537 or there abouts

Once you start paying basic income tax rate, you are having about 38% of your money removed from the payroll your employer has set aside to pay you with.
Seems rather a lot really.
This calculation does not differentiate between income tax, NI employers or NI employees - well why would you?
