Default is ebay a big con??

have just been looking at the charges i have been giving, and in jan i sold somethin in auction form for around £190 and all i thought you paid was the listing fees, but it looks like it cost me around £16 in total??

and this month have sold something for £230 and again it cost me £4.88 to list the item, but now i have nearly £17.00 in other fees!!

whats going on?

Is it a con, yes, is it safe no. Do they have your safety at heart... no.

Its a hard life but its Ebay or little else sadly. I use it as little as possible as I agree the fees just go sky high. Plus then they take double bubble taking money for Paypal use too.

Ebay probably own that too mate !
The official line on it is something along the lines of Ebay has outgrown the realms of a managable existance, therefore instead of government and legal bodies managing it, its suggested that people are responsible for their own actions, and legal bodies want nothing to do with it.... Except VAT etc

Yeah there are a few out there mate, sadly though Ebay has such a big following now.

Whatever the next big thing, it will go the same way.
Tazbar is the nearest thing to a challenge to it.

Maybe eBay should be free and still allow you to sell goods that might otherwise be still in your garage?
