Question Which Sat Nav.

Looking to buy a sat nav, specifically before we go to Florida, as it will mainly be used there. I've only used one once, it was a Tom Tom One which seemed very good.

Whatever I get must cost less than £200 inc USA map. Can't see the point of forking out for extras I'll never use.

Recommendations?

Cool

Recent discussion here. Not sure if you can get one with US maps for that price, not many in the EU would have them. You can buy or download them though quite cheaply (or freely if you look hard enough )

The non-widescreen one is £99.99, widescreen I think I saw it for £129.99

Dunno mate, I haven't bought it yet, will get it in the next few days. I hear nothing but good about Garmin though (and Tom Tom but I don't like the look of them asthetically).

Thanks Scoobychick, but I meant the regular updates for speedcams and new roads etc.

Cool

Well it has arrived this morning, easy to set up (as in none really ), acquired a signal, so I shall see how it goes.

Will report back in odd things it does.

Geezer,

Does it have diversion information to beat traffic jams as well as speedcams, and what do they charge for a year's worth of updates.
