Forget maifesto's....
They're not worth the paper they're written on. so, here's what we need.
1st. The Govt MUST OPEN UP THE BOOKS. I'm fed up with opposition parties saying, " We can't commit to anything until we see the state of the countries finances" Well I WANT TO SEE THE BOOKS. It's OUR MONEY! Once opened up, opposition parties wont have this get out.
2nd. Once the finances are established, the party manifestos should become fully costed, AND LEGALLY BINDING. A manifesto should state what will be done, by when, and how much it will cost. Fail to deliver, and an election should be called within 6 months. Money can be set aside for "contingencies", again that must be set out in the parties manifesto.
Once this has done, people will be voting for something they have a hope of getting. Not 5 years of broken promises.
