anyone looking for a small friendly dog?
i found this dog on friday at work, hes chipped but the current owners are not registered and the previous owner was the original breeder. hes a male beagle and is apparently a pedigree.
the plan was to keep him, but my rottie really hasn't taken to him at all, which as im sure you can imagine isnt good.
id say hes approximately a year old, and needs some training. hes good with our 2 year old and plays nicely, he needs a home where he will get a lot of attention.
i wont give him to just anyone, equally im not keen on taking him to the dog warden for obvious reasons.
so can you help, or do you know anyone who has lost a dog?
please email me as i have limited internet access at the minute.

If the previous owners are not registered, do you mean that their details arent on the chip ?
If the previous owner before them was the breeder, then surely he must have paperwork on who he sold the dog to, can you not contact him to find the owner ?

Isn't it a bit premature for you to be looking to find him a new home after two days ? If my mutt got lost, I'd be devasted to subsequently find out he'd been unofficially "re-homed" so quickly. A call to the local vets and police, a poster or two, newspaper contact, RSPCA etc would all help the chances of reuniting with the owner.
I don't want to sound critical, what you've done is admirable in taking it in, but I don't think you're in a position yet to find new owners without taking some decent steps.

Best of luck,

as said above ive been to the vets, also ive contacted, the police, local radio, newspaper, rspca, tge dog warden, ive also spent 2 hours today walking round with him where i found him. ive been told that its HIGHLY unlikely i will find the owner. im not putting him into a place where he may get destroyed because i didn't do something.
