Ooops Cameron caught jumping red lights on his bike
BBC NEWS | UK | Cameron 'sorry for bike mistakes'
Now if that were a car driver, he'd be hauled off in handcuffs with fines and points to match. As its just a bike, its fine to jump lights and cycle the wrong way up a one way street.

He, and all his two wheeled friends should acquaint themselves with this book.....
....and maybe the Police should be given some new powers to enable them to process fiscal penalties as an encouragement for them to enforce the law fairly with ALL road users, even if they're misguided vegetarian tofu wearing eco hypocrites on their outdated, unsafe leisure transport.

Should they ?
YES ! THEY F*CKING SHOULD !!!!!
200 cyclists a year are killed and another 32,000 injured on the roads every year. After 11 years of over-zealous speed enforcement road deaths have remained static at 3,100 (±200). By targeting bad driving, riding and educating pedestrians we may have an effect on that figure, but there is no money to be earned, so the sitting ducks in their cars with their easy to identify plates front and back, and obviously fat wallets (essential for anyone trying to use Britains roads these days ) pay the price whilst others get off Scot-free.
Teach the Highway Code and Green Cross Code in schools, make the Cycling Proficiency mandatory for anyone wishing to use roads over a 30mph limit, and at 13yo an advanced CPT and insurance required, along with the compulsory wearing of hi-vis clothing AND helmets, and over 13's must display an ID number on the helmet (deliberate obscuring of which would be an offence).
If you want to mix it on the roads with everything from 1 tonne cars to 38 tonne lorries travelling at up to 70mph whilst balanced atop an oversized coathanger then it is fair to assume that you may well be a cause or contributing factor to any resultant accident or incident and as such should be adequately trained, and insured to cover others losses if proved to be at fault, and must be expected to respect the HC and RTA or face the same penalties as other road users.
Is there anything about my comments which is unfair, and if so WHY ????

My nan was hospitalised because of some clot cycling up a road the wrong way. Cyclists make little noise, but travel at high speed (relative to city traffic). I should point out that there were legal proceedings against the cyclist because of this event, which he did not enjoy.
Not to mention my nan not enjoying her broken hip, just cos he wanted to shave a few minutes off his little trip to work

Didn't a woman get jailed recently for having used her mobile at around the time that a cyclist jumped a red and became her bonnet ornament. Shame no one scooped up chameleon Dave in the same way.

Yup ! 45 in a 30 and using the mobile. Although the cyclist was 100% to blame for the accident, the severity of it was caused by her lack of due care.

Let's hope they take them both out in the same hit. I long for the chance to vote for a real opposition who may actually have different policies which have some relevance to my life, ambitions, beliefs and future. Same suit, different coloured tie on virtually all politicians right now ! Over the last 15 years they've managed to create such massive voter apathy that they now have free reign to do whatever they please and we all just huff, mumble, then accept it. The don't represent us, they resent us for even the slight hindrance we cause them in their quest for personal wealth. Like most of todays pop stars, they don't do it for the love of the job or to make any kind of difference, they do it for money, a little now and much, much more when they finally leave office and reap what they have sowed through their corrupt dealings with major companies. TW@TS, the lot of 'em

I don't think Cameron has the stuff to make a difference. Are you prepared though for tax increases which are inevitable after the last 11 years of spunking billions down the drain. Someone needs to reign in this mess but we will have to pay for it.
