Oh dear not good. Jonglers(sp) just been evacuated too. By all accounts spreading very badly. Things not being helped by thousands of onlookers from the nightlife part of town.

This is terrible news. Been going there since I was 15. Now take my children there often for a mooch. Stables bit is the best.
Couple of weeks back there was a lot of construction work going on beside the stables. Wonder if this is where it started.
Very sad.

Eeek thats the worst part of it, losing power etc 
For those unaffected by the actual fire that is.
Sounds like its coming under control now, certainly some very dramatic pictures on Sky

Waiting for some arial shots of the damage now. Still hard to comprehend whats actually gone.

As far as I understand the fire was in the small market down the side of the canal, probably the least popular market area and in need of a good refit anyway, which makes it a little suspicious. No one was hurt and thankfully the excellent Arches stalls are fine.
