Medical question, opinions please
All the better from those with a medical background or knowledge.
After the op on Thursday (last week) I was told to take the steri strips off after 10 days.
Now counting and including op day and today, its 10 days today.
Im gagging to take a good soak in the bath, so this evening would be a great time to soak the strips off etc.
So do I count today as day 10 and soak them off this evening?
Push comes to shove tomorrow would be the alternative day 10 lol, so there would only be about 12 hours in it all.
The wound was sealed and healing nicely when I had the dressing changed on Thursday.
So, opinions please

Snaz, you could try soaking it and if it starts opening up stop it may weep a little as the water will soften the wound and draw things to the surface witht he heat.

good thought mate.
Got a couple of dressings on top of it that need to come off too. A post op skin like sticky dressing and another adhesive one with some padding on it too.
Then the steri strips are beneath those. So I will do what you think, sounds like a winner to me. More than likely the last couple of days are just for safe measure.

I understand your pain, it reminds me of my broken foot, 6 pins sticking out my foot all drilled into the bone and 2 nice scars on my foot, one about 3" between my little toe and next one to it and a 6" one between my big toe and the one next to it all running up my foot. 13 odd years later and it still aches at times.
You will heal soon enough

Had 6 in the elbow as part of the op, thats the only "painful" thing left, other than tired muscles.
