The Bird Feeder



I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled
it lovingly with seed. It was indeed a beautiful bird feeder.

Within a week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the bird ****. It was everywhere; on the patio tile,
the chairs, the table ... everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own pocket.

And others birds were boisterous and loud. They
sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be ... quiet, serene
and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let's see ....

Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care, and free education and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic citizen.

Then the illegals came by the millions. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for free services;
small apartments are housing 5 or more families;
you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by a doctor in an emergency room
because it is filled with illegals;

your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because
over half the class doesn't speak English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to
'press one' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other than 'The Union Jack' are
squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Its just my opinion but:

maybe, just maybe, it's time for the government
to take down the damn bird feeder.

Replace "illegals" with white trash, and I might agree with it.

Otherwise it's frankly inciting racial hatred.

The most foreign looking person i see in my day to day life is the postman (think he may be Irish?)

Anyone who's life is affected by people with NOTHING who come over here happy to live in ****e conditions as a step up from their "home"....is operating at the wrong end of the ladder.

Its like complaining your kicked off the pub football team when a 20stone, asthmatic, blind pensioner gets picked ahead of you.

Great another thread where the term "illegal immigrant" is freely interchanged with "immigrant". They are different, we need one, we don't need the other.

No - it determines your proximity to immigrants....and as the original poster sounded a bigot i thought he might like to know that there are places in the UK where his sensibilities wouldn't be so badly affected.

I don't care about public services as i own a car and have private medical. Sure, i use the bin collection service and street sweeping facilities - but i dont care if its bin laden himself is doing that.

Good point.....because all the ambulances are being used up on the stupid immigrants who forget you cant walk down the road like you do in Calcutta.

On the odd occasion i have used the NHS for A&E with the kids, etc i have found them superb and the only negative has been the scum drunks and retards (white, english, "proper" people) that tend to litter the waiting areas.

Bob, the two words I really object to are "illegal" and "millions". This is why I say inciting racial hatred.

There are by no means millions of illegal immigrants. Tens of thousands probably, hundreds of thousands perhaps. But millions? Exaggeration for effect.

And even your own reply omits the word "illegal". Millions of immigrants I have no idea about, no objection to, etc (or I can't be arsed to argue). But the above, simply by prefixing immigrant with illegal, at a stroke legitimates the reason to be jealous towards them. Just like the word "bogus" a few years ago.

Otherwise, everyone here knows my views, no need to state them (yet) again


...OK, just this once My wife is applying for British citizenship - she might get it, she might not, the rules for our case seem very unclear. But just imagine the time when she gets it, we move back to the UK, and at some point due to some circumstances she gets into an argument with 19 yr old Wayne and Waynetta and their seven subsidised children, and she'll be told if she doesn't like it to **** off back to where she came from. And thinking of that makes me both sad and angry. (She's already had it here a couple of times).

Its ok Brendan, your comments made me think (to the point where I almost went back and deleted the post), and also emphasises to me why I normally stay well away from anything like this

Snug, my bank doesnt talk to me in English, a lot of schools I work in half the classess don't speak english, or at least not as their primary language

Not related as such, but one school I have worked at (a Catholic school) has 50% muslims as pupils

Unfortunately, I was unable to cope with the results of my actions, but I blamed everyone but myself.

Maybe I should have bought a smaller one, and been more careful about how often I filled it and how much I put in.
