Default CD Duplication Vs CD replication?

Hi,
I am a musician and I with my band have recently recorded a demo and we want to get a professional package together to send to the usual potential clients. . We plan to publish around 1000 CDs with the relevant details (Band Name, Song Titles and Contact Details) printed on the CD. But we are very much confused that what we should have to use CD duplication or CD replication. If anyone of you have any ideal about this and its provider then please help me.
All suggestions and tips are welcome

Replication as this will give you a Glass Master and your CD's can be pressed and not just copied onto CDr's

as your having a 1000 cd's then pressing is the best option

I duplicate media for a living . On a run of 1000 you are better to go for replication. I would however ask about doing a larger run of say 2000 as perhaps the cost per unit might be better
allow a lead time of 10 days

As Sonic says really. Depends on 1 simple thing.

Budget.

Replication is usually considerably more expensive than Duplication - because you get the Glass master

Yep I wouldnt think twice for over 500 units to have them pressed, especially for Audio CD's they just look so much better
