Gordon Ramsay Nightmares last night in the US
Quite liked the Nightmare progs Ramsay's made in the Uk, even in Europe. Thought last nights production from the US was rubbish. They Americanised the whole show and obviously used a US crew and format. I couldn't see a scene that lasted over 5 seconds in the first half of the show. I don't think I'll be watching the rest of the US shows, bring on the next UK series though

It was absolute tosh - Everything that is wrong with American TV, not to mention Americans in general, packaged into a over produced, over dramatised pile of ****e.
And that bloke that kept bursting into tears at the drop of a hat would have gotten something to cry about the big ****ing girl.

Havent seen last nights yet as was out and is on my sky + box. I did watch the pilot before Xmas and although it was a bit disjointed with the obvious gaps where the millions of US adverts go it was not bad. Shame they have to do the whole "let us refurb your entire restaurant" thing just like all the other US makeover programmes.
Still cant blame him considering how much they offered him and its been a hit in the US.

Thought it was very funny tbh, the bit about going to the gym at first - the yank just didn't get it!!
The "coming up" bits were annoying, but thats what PVR's are for

I love the UK version, but after watching last night's US one, and the one at Xmas, one thing sticks in my mind. The US one comes across as a bit too fake, and too scripted! That's both episodes where there's been the one "bad guy" who at the last second, turns over a whole new leaf, and leaves everyone else "in shock" at how Gordon has changed them!

To be fair... the chef was fine, food needed updating a bit.... and the entire show surrounded Mikey crying a lot and being a crap manager!!
More like a makeover show than the usual Ramsey cooking blitz....
