Why do I have to go to orange website to view photos?
I often get mms messages on my Nokia, such as the one I have received today.
I then have to go to Orange website, enter username and password to view a photo.
Can I not just receive these direct to my phone as I could a couple of years ago? Technology going backwards...
Or is there a setting somewhere on my phone to alter so I can receive multimedia direct?
Thanks
Nick
PS - picture was from a friend at Pistonheads/Autosport show. Wish I was there

Depends on your phone, it may not be capable of MMS messages quite a few of the cheaper Nokia ones cannot
You can go to the Nokia Website, and get the settings txt to you from Nokia Website providing your phone is capable of MMS

I just got a new phone on virgin, not a nokia but i had the same problem
I had too go into the network setup and change the GPRS connection too always on.
Then i had to go into text message settings and change the pref bearer to GPRS.
Then i had too send a picture message before i was able to recieve them on my phone.

I think I've worked it out for myself since first post..
It's a Nokia 6300 and it's actually my workphone. I can use for personal calls too .
I'm guessing mms has to be enabled but in doing this allows the user to send as well as receive. Therefore probably all our company phones do not have the facility perhaps because it's open to abuse and not much use to have on a company phone
Think I'll have a word with the boss before trying to activate it!
